Mary McGovern translates primarily the works of the Danish writer Martinus (1890-1981) into English for The Martinus Institute, Denmark. Studied the science of translation and lexicography at The University of Copenhagen 1994-96.

Mary McGovern studied translation science and lexicography at The University of Copenhagen and published two academic papers: On Translating Martinus (2010). She is a translator and teacher at The Martinus Institute, Copenhagen and has lectured on Martinus Cosmology in Scandinavia, USA and UK.She graduated in music from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London in 1976 and subsequently trained as a teacher of the Alexander Technique. She taught at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Dartington College of Arts, The Royal Danish Academy of Music, The Rythmic Music Conservatory, Copenhagen and The Carl Nielsen Academy of Music.
